Great book, can’t wait for the Audio Book, so I can listen to it on my way to and from work.

This book motivated me to continue to focus on getting myself out there in front of new opportunities, even if it’s outside of my comfort zone. There is value in sincerely connecting others and just living a life of kindness and joy. The magic trick was really cool too! Very clever 🙂

A great daily read! It’s reinforcing lots of my current positive thinking habits, and helping push me along the motivated track I’ve been on lately. What you focus on, you create more of, right? I’m loving Jonathan’s voice — it’s like sitting at a coffee shop with a friend. I laughed outloud several times because of his off-the-cuff remarks. Here are some of my favorite quotes:

“Lead with action. Live with integrity. Serve as someone others can look to for an idea of what it means to have a good life.” I wrote “Ok!” in the margin.

“Everything you’ve done or ever will do is the result of setting your mind to it.” Seems obvious. But all of the sudden, I feel accountable.

On mentally and physically staying in shape — “It’s easier to maintain than it is to repair.” WOW! That spoke to me. Now, I promise I will keep up with my taxes and workouts all year round!

My favorite line: “Success is getting what you want, happiness is liking what you get” appears in the best paragraph of the book – I won’t tell you where it falls but you’ll find it. I truly enjoyed the book; it’s an easy read, nicely paced, and it shows Jonathan as he genuinely is. The mentalist devices and “tricks”, even a quiz, and the life lessons he shares, were both good and good fun.

I feel the same way Jonathan does about “positive thinking” and self-help books. So, while he may seem, now and again, to veer near or even hover over that genre in [think] Like a Mind Reader, fortunately for you, dear reader, he’s anchored on sturdier stuff, with a happier, more down-to-earth perspective.

What he does bring is…yes, a kick in the butt now and then…but also a peek into his own life. From his stumbles and his success so far (he’s still a youngster!), he’s learned some lessons and he shares them here. From that, what comes through is that he places a high value on clear thinking, openness to self and others (ok, yes, he certainly hides a few things when performing on stage), as well as a “just do it” orientation and commitment.

But make no mistake, he pays his dues and does his homework. He was stubborn enough as a child to commit to reaching a goal by working at it relentlessly. Thus, he offers us, no recipe made of short-cuts. Instead, this book – and this man – remind us there’s no escape from hard work and dedication to mastering skills, physical and mental, in order to achieve outcomes.

A refreshing take on finding your purpose, rediscovering your creative energy, overcoming obstacles, and finding the good in your life.

A dynamic performer and charismatic teacher takes you behind the mental curtain to show you how you’re getting in the way of your own success. He provides you with the tools to create the life you want, and shows you how to use them to accomplish the impossible.

Jonathan Pritchard has traveled the world as a mentalist, mind reader, and entertainer performing for thousands of fans demonstrating feats of the mind that are simply inexplicable. He’s performed on Vegas main stages, helped levitate American astronaut Ed Lu, entertained our troops stationed overseas, appeared on national TV, consulted for Criss Angel, and more. You might think he was born naturally outgoing, but you’d be mistaken. He was painfully shy as a child growing up in a trailer in the mountains of North Carolina. He’s had to learn the lessons for success the hard way and now he wants to share his experience with you.

A couple years back he realized the psychological techniques he uses on stage are exactly the same he used off stage in his own life, business, and friendships to create a life that fit him perfectly. That’s when he understood he could do so much more for the world than help an audience forget their troubles for an hour; he could show them how to solve them forever! That’s why he wrote this book: to share the exact strategies he’s used to overcome his crippling shyness, overcome overwhelming depression after a divorce, and more.

If you’re ready to forgive yourself, overcome your inner demons, eliminate procrastination, improve your relationships, or get rid of any number of self defeating beliefs, Jonathan is here to help.

What are you waiting for?

If you think your friends, family, or co-workers are going to save you, you have another think coming. Nobody is going to do it for you. You built the prison you’re in with every decision you’ve made over your life. Jonathan wants to show you how to take charge of your creativity, and put it to use freeing yourself from the limits you’ve set on yourself. You’re the only on who can set yourself free.

You’re already free. You’re already there. You just need to change your thinking.

That’s where Jonathan’s experience is perfectly suited to show you a new path to success.

This book is a compilation of his unique approaches to life, teachings, stories, and inspirations that will help you realize you’re capable of achieving so much, if you put your mind to it. A life of fulfillment is waiting for you, when you wake up to reality.

Live out loud.
